NFL fans are ripping on the Philadelphia Eagles after seeing a political endorsement for Kamala Harris in the 2024 United States presidential election.
On Monday, photos circulated of Philadelphia Eagles-themed Kamala Harris political cartoons. The bottom of the ad read, “OFFICIAL CANDIDATE OF THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES” with a link for voting on the team’s official website.
The Eagles later stated on X/Twitter that the political advertisements are “counterfeit” and were working with the team’s advertising partner to take them down. But this announcement came well after fans started taking aim at the NFC East club, having fallen for the bogus ads:

Just another reminder, folks, to not believe everything you see on the internet…especially anything politically related ahead of an event as important as the presidential election.
Though Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has donated to campaigns for the Republican and Democratic parties, he has been a vocal critic of Trump. Lurie called the latter’s presidency “disastrous” in 2018, and Trump canceled their invitation to the White House after they won Super Bowl 52.
Members of that Eagles team, including wide receiver Torrey Smith, defensive end Chris Long and safety Malcolm Jenkins were critical of Trump and said they wouldn’t visit the White House before the invitation was rescinded.
The election will be held on Nov. 5. If Harris wins, she will become the first woman to assume the presidency of the United States. Trump is looking to become the second president (the first was Grover Cleveland) to serve two non-consecutive terms.
Philadelphia Eagles Open 2024 Season In Brazil
The Eagles will begin their 2024 campaign on Friday against the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, the first NFL game to take place in Brazil. Jalen Hurts’ squad will be designated as the home team.
After that, the Philly will get extended time off before coming home to host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 on “Monday Night Football.”
