Saquon Barkley came into Monday Night Football with the heart of a Black Mamba.
During the game against the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field, the broadcast showed Barkley paying tribute to Kobe Bryant by rocking Mamba earrings.
The Philadelphia Eagles running back has already reached a milestone midway through the first quarter against the Washington Commanders Thursday night in Philadelphia.
On the Eagles’ second possession, Barkley broke the 1,000-yard mark on an 8-yard run on first down.
With his 1,000 yards, Saquon Barkley and LeSean McCoy in 2011 are the only Eagles to reach that mark in Game 10.
If the Commanders can find ways to limit and contain Barkley, their chances of winning will increase. That is easier said than done.
