NFL fans have branded Azeez Al-Shaair a clown because of a post he shared on the back of his suspension.
The Houston Texans linebacker will miss upcoming games against the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens as the league has handed him a three-game ban for an illegal hit on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
The hit was branded “dangerous” and “dirty,” though it’s split the opinion as some are of the view that Lawrence should have done a better job of protecting himself.
Al-Shaair and the Texans appealed the suspension but were unsuccessful.
He has since reacted by taking to Instagram to share a post bearing The Joker’s face, which he captioned, “If you want me to be your villain, I’ll be your villain. See you soon,” adding a middle finger emoji.

Fans Reacted As Expected After Azeez Al-Shaair’s Mini-Rant
As you might imagine, Al-Shaair’s post did not go down well with fans.
“Why would you post something like this 😂😂,” one wondered.
“He has a history of being dirty. Not sure why he thinks he already isn’t a villain,” someone added.
“Does he know literally nobody is on his side? At least the Joker is a somewhat likeable villain,” another added.
“The only relatable thing is the face paint because Azeez is a literal clown,” said a fourth.
“Suspend him again, he doesn’t get it,” someone urged.
“Doubling down on this is weird,” another noted.
“Yeah because that’s gonna show them 😂😂😂,” a fan laughed.
“Al-Shaair during his “apology”,” another wrote, describing the stages of the player’s descent into clown form.
So maybe he’s not sorry after all…
