NFL fans cannot believe the incredible offseason body transformation of Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young heading into his sophomore season.
The main concern regarding Bryce Young heading into last season was his size. Listed at 5-foot-10 and 204 pounds, the first overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft had a tough rookie season that saw him throw only 11 touchdowns against 10 interceptions.
Well, Young has clearly been putting in the work to make sure that year two goes a lot better than his forgettable rookie campaign. As you can see in the photo below from the ML Football X/Twitter account, Young has packed on a ton of muscle during the offseason:

Last year, the Panthers acquired the first overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft in a blockbuster deal with the Chicago Bears. Carolina gave up 2023 and 2024 first-rounders and star wide receiver DJ Moore as part of the return.
But nothing went wrong for Bryce Young in year one as a professional. He had limited talent around him and was stuck behind a miserable offensive line that allowed him to take 62 sacks in 16 games.
Head coach Frank Reich was fired after a 1-10 start. Making matters worse, the Panthers’ 2-15 finish meant giving up the top pick of 2024 to the Bears, who used the selection on can’t-miss USC quarterback Caleb Williams.
So yes, the pressure is very much on for Young to rebound in year two and show the Panthers that they made the right decision in selecting him.
Panthers Have Upgraded Bryce Young’s Supporting Cast
The Panthers wasted little time bolstering Bryce Young’s supporting cast during the offseason, having started off by signing Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis to fix up the offensive line.
Panthers GM Dan Morgan acquired former 1,000-yard wide receiver Diontae Johnson via trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers and used the No. 32 pick of this year’s draft on South Carolina wideout Xavier Legette.
