Jon Gruden resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021 and hasn’t gotten another shot in the league since.
In emails detailed by The New York Times, Gruden used misogynistic and homophobic language to disparage people.
Since he might get back into the league, he decided to do something no one saw coming.
Three years after resigning from the Raiders over leaked emails, Jon Gruden was hired by Barstool Sports on Thursday.
In its announcement, the company posted a video on its website showing Gruden breaking down a play called “Spider Y 2 Banana” to other Barstool employees. They have not specified what his actual role will be with the company.
Soon afterward, his Barstool account on X would surface, and it featured the perfect twitter handle for the legendary coach: “@Barstool_Gruden”

It does not get any better than that.
This is a nice bounce back for Gruden, who was in his second stint as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021 and in the fourth year of a reported $100 million contract when he resigned before things went awry.
At the time, it was reported that Jon Gruden wrote emails over a decade that had homophobic, racist, and misogynistic language in them.
The emails came out as part of the league’s investigation of former Commanders owner Daniel Snyder and allegations of the team’s workplace culture.
Snyder has since been ousted after he sold the Commanders.
The NFL Scored Legal Victory Over Jon Gruden
Jon Gruden is back, landing a job with Barstool Sports as he looks to return to the NFL in the future.
Earlier this year, he received bad news when the highest court in Nevada reversed an earlier decision that would’ve allowed Gruden’s lawsuit against the NFL to move forward in public.
Basically, the claims in his lawsuit will be dealt with outside of the public eye, per USA Today.
Gruden sued the league and commissioner Roger Goodell in November 2021 after multiple news outlets published excerpts of leaked emails.
