Colin Kaepernick says he still aims to return to the NFL but has another big dream.
Colin Kaepernick has decided to return to sporting competitions, but in a different way, while representing the USA on a grand scale.
Kaepernick wants to represent Team USA as a flag football player during the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
“Hopefully, we’ll be out there,” Kaepernick told Sky Sports. “We’re going to work on some things, see if we can make it in there, but would love to be out there.”
Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, most definitely wants to see her man in action. She took to her Instagram story to write, “I LOVE THIS,” which she wrote on Instagram. “THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.”

Kaepernick, who last played in the NFL during the 2016 season, will be 40 years old when flag football makes its debut as an Olympic sport in Los Angeles.
Getting back into the league at 36 and the Olympics at 40 is a tough task.
Colin Kaepernick is likely to face steep competition for a spot on Team USA’s Olympic flag football roster since the NFL has plans to structure the training camp schedule for the 2028 season around the Olympics to give active players the chance to compete, Eric Fisher previously reported for Front Office Sports.
The former second-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers came on the scene in 2013 with a 12-4 record in his first full season as a starter while leading the 49ers to Super Bowl XLVII, where they fell to the Baltimore Ravens.

Colin Kaepernick Wants Back In The NFL
It has been over seven years since quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a snap in the NFL, but that has never stopped him from trying to get back on the field.
Every year, like clockwork, Kaepernick takes to the media to let them know he is ready for a comeback.
Recently, the 36-year-old told Sky Sports that he’s still hoping for a return to the league.
“We’re still training, still pushing,” Kaepernick said when asked if we will see him in the NFL again. “So, hopefully, we’ve just got to get one of these team owners to open up.”
Kaepernick was then asked what it would mean to him to play in the NFL again.
“I mean, it’s something I’ve trained my whole life for,” Kaepernick said. “So to be able to step back on the field, I think that would be a major moment, a major accomplishment for me. Also, I think it’s something that I could bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship.”
The closest Kaepernick has come to a return was a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders in May 2022.
