Philip Rivers was the subject of ridicule Sunday for his terrible attempt to tackle a runner against the Baltimore Ravens.
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor lost a fumble late in the first quarter on Sunday, setting off an unfortunate series of events that saw QB Philip Rivers trip over his own feet and fail to tackle Baltimore Ravens’ Chuck Clark from the ground.
“We had a couple of laughs. It’s funny but it’s not funny, because I’m still aggravated,” Rivers admitted Monday, via ESPN’s Mike Wells. “The lack of athleticism on that play.”
The 38-year-old veteran completed just 25-of-43 passes for 227 yards and an interception.
