The Philadelphia Eagles have their quarterback room set up following a recent signing.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFC outfit is also signing former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Will Grier to a one-year deal.
“Eagles are signing former Cowboys and Patriots QB Will Grier to a one-year deal, per sources,” Schefter reported via X on Saturday morning. “In the past week, the Eagles now have added QBs Kenny Pickett and Greer.”
The 28-year-old spent last season as Justin Herbert’s backup with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he worked with new Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

New Philadelphia Eagles QB Will Grier Is An NFL Journeyman
Grier Is a journeyman in the NFL, having spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, and the Chargers. He had been with Dallas since 2021 but was cut after the team traded for Trey Lance last year.
The Panthers drafted Grier in the third round in 2019. He made two starts for them, completing 28-of-52 passing attempts for 228 yards, zero touchdowns, and four interceptions. He hasn’t played in a regular season game since.
The Philadelphia Eagles now have Grier, Pickett, and Tanner McKee as backup options for Hurts. They have made several moves to improve their roster following their dismal playoff campaign last season, with the signing of star running back Saquon Barkley thought to be the most significant.
