The Philadelphia Eagles have some real work to do following yet another blowout at the hands of a top NFC rival. Following their loss to the Francisco 49ers in Week 13, Jalen Hurts and Co. dropped their Sunday night game to the Dallas Cowboys and couldn’t even manage a single offensive touchdown.
An anonymous player is said to have criticized the offense on the heels of the defeat.
Derrick Gunn, the host of JAKIB Sports, claims to have spoken to an unnamed member of the team who complained about the offense being too predictable.
“Look at our pass routes compared to the Cowboys pass routes,” the player was quoted as saying. “Our pass routes take too long to develop. Dallas gets their bleep out real quick.”
“I think the biggest thing for this team now is really find out who the dudes are,” defensive tackle Fletcher Cox told reporters after Sunday’s loss. “I’ve been a part of teams where the dudes in the locker room do something about it, and I’ve been part of teams where it kind of crumbles.
“And now it’s time to see the real leadership, the real players, the guys that’s elite on this team, myself included, step up and do something about it.”
Offensive coordinator Brian Johnson has been taking the brunt of the criticism and will have to figure things out quickly as the Eagles are in danger of finishing the season in a Wild Card spot or worse.

Nick Sirianni will allow him the opportunity to fix the offense as he has confirmed that he won’t be taking over playcalling duties.
“We’re going to keep rolling and finding answers with the people we have,” he said.
Fortunately for Philly, they’ve gone through the most challenging part of their schedule and will face the Seattle Seahawks, the New York Giants (twice), and the Arizona Cardinals to end the season.
Gunn doesn’t feel like it will be a walk in the park, though, and has tipped AZ to “give this team problems.”
