The City of Brotherly Love is notorious for being one of the most unwelcoming places for opposing NFL fan bases.
According to a recent poll from USBETS, Philadelphia Eagles fans were voted the most likely to start a fight at an NFL game. On top of that, they were also voted most likely to win a fight.
“Not only do fans feel that Eagles fans are most likely to start a fight, but they’re also most likely to win one as well,” USBETS explained. “Philadelphia might be known as ‘The City of Brotherly Love,’ but apparently not when it comes to football.”
Among the things Philly fans are known for is throwing batteries at J.D. Drew when he didn’t sign with the Philadelphia Phillies after they drafted him No. 2 overall in 1997. They also booed and threw snowballs at a Santa Claus back in 1968.
The Raiders, Steelers, Patriots and Cowboys rounded out the top five of the “fans who would start a fight” section of the poll, while the Raiders, Steelers, Bills and Cowboys came in under Eagles supporters for “fans most likely to win a fight.”
If you were wondering, Seahawks were ranked No. 1 as the as the fan base who would stop a fight if they witnessed it going down. They were followed closely by Vikings fans, 49ers fans, Cardinals fans and Titans fans.
