Losing a game against the Dallas Cowboys was one thing, but the Philadelphia Eagles also lost a key player as well.
Following the Dallas Cowboys keeping the NFC East race alive with a 40-34 victory Saturday, a report surfaced about a bad injury to the league’s top team.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, cornerback Avonte Maddox is “out indefinitely” with a significant toe injury.
For the year, Maddox has recorded 43 tackles, three forced fumbles, and an interception in nine games this season. He is a huge loss. On top of that news is star offense tackle Lane Johnson who will miss the regular season’s final two games with an abdominal injury.
Aside from this defensive loss, Philadelphia is waiting on their QB Jalen Hurts to return who separated his shoulder.
The Eagles are limping to the finish line, so they will have to figure something out to stay afloat. They can clinch the No. 1 seed by beating the New Orleans Saints this Sunday.
