The Philadelphia Eagles are one team that seemingly couldn’t wait for the AAF to go under.
On Tuesday, the Eagles signed Orlando Apollos star WR Charles Johnson, who is actually making his return back into the league because of his tremendous play in the Alliance of American Football League.
Johnson had 45 catches for 687 yards and five touchdowns in eight games with the Orlando Apollos. During his NFL career, Johnson appeared in 39 games over three seasons with the Vikings, amassing 475 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in 2014.
Charles Johnson finished as the AAF’s highest-graded wide receiver.
On Monday, the Eagles signed Birmingham quarterback Luis Perez to a 1-year deal.
Perez completed 135 of 258 passes (52.3%) for 1460 yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions in eight games for the Iron.
