Peyton Manning is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever grace a football field. It seems his competitive edge extended well pass the field of play.
Former NFL cornerback Ty Law got well acquainted with Manning during their trips to the Pro Bowl, which is why he recently revealed during an appearance on WEEI that Manning would attempt to get rival players drunk in an effort to get information on them:
“Peyton would try to get you … once you get over to the Pro Bowl, you’re on the same team. Peyton try to get you drunk and then try to dig into your brain … he feed you these mai tais.”
Manning trying to get info with Ty Law makes a lot of sense, given the epic rivalry between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots at the time.
God only knows how much information Manning received over the years and how it helped contribute to future wins.
We think he did pretty well.
