During the 57th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday night, hosts Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning came prepared with plenty of jokes and they started quickly by bringing up Travis Kelc, Taylor Swift, and the New York Jets.
“We are back, and you know what that means,” Manning told the crowd at the start of their monologue.
“Yup, Travis and Taylor weren’t available,” Bryan responded.
“Luke, do you know the difference between Taylor Swift and the New York Jets,” Manning then asked, before his co-host responded: “Uh, Taylor can sell out a stadium.”
“You nailed it,” Manning replied. “I had you do that punchline, Luke, so I wouldn’t get in trouble.”
The New York Jets organization saw the diss so they clapped back on X by showing an image of what appeared to be a sold-out MetLife Stadium.
The New York Jets winning streak came to an end this week with an ugly loss at home to the Chargers on Monday night. The team fell to 4-4 on the year.
For what it’s worth, the Jets have recorded an average attendance of over 80,000 people per home game, the third-most on average among NFL teams this season, according to ESPN.

For this year, they have reported a league-leading 403,000-plus total fans attending its five home games this season at MetLife Stadium. To add to it, Swift brought in over 217,000 people to her three Eras Tour stops at the stadium in May.
There is no beef between them as MetLife congratulated the singer over social media following the shows and announced that she became the No. 1 best-selling artist at the venue.
