Peyton Manning has admitted that it’s been difficult to get three new NFL quarterbacks for the hit ‘Quarterback’ series.
The show, which debuted on Netflix earlier this year, was wildly successful and has already been approved for a second season. However, a number of QBs are understood to have rejected the opportunity to be featured.
The first season took fans into the private lives of Patrick Mahomes Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota. And the ratings were amazing.
Still, it’s been a struggle for Peyton to get another trio of signal-callers, with the deadline to secure names coming up on him.
“To use a cheesy analogy, we’re definitely in the two-minute drill here,” he said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I’d love for someone to call us back and say, ‘I want to do it.’ I had three starting quarterbacks tell me no yesterday, so I’m swallowing my pride.
“I think maybe some guys are thinking that it is going to be a distraction, even though I told a couple of them, ‘I guarantee you’ll win the Super Bowl like Mahomes if you do it.’ ”
The 2023 NFL season kicks off this Thursday, so Peyton’s definitely running out of time.
