The Arizona Cardinals terrible season just got even worse after Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was carted off the field on Monday night against the New England Patriots after suffering a knee injury. It wasn’t just any injury, but a non-contact one that is never good.
Murray scrambled and went down without contact following a 3-yard run on just the third play from scrimmage in the game. Surrounded by teammates, Murray was transported off the field with a towel covering his head. He was replaced by Colt McCoy.
During the ManningCast, Peyton Manning stated he was ‘absolutely sick’ by what he saw.
Kyler Murray, who missed a handful of games due to a hamstring injury, had hoped to be healthy the rest of the way.
In his fourth NFL season, Murray had completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 2,359 yards to go with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
