Pete Carroll was uncharacteristically frustrated after the Seahawks’ 23-13 loss against the Cardinals in Week 11. The team could do nothing right on offense and his anger boiled over at the reporters after the game.
Carroll fielded questions for about eight minutes when he ultimately left the presser while a reporter was mid-question. Multiple Seahawks beat reporters tweeted it was the first time Carroll had done that during his 12-year tenure in charge of the Seahawks.
Around the 8-minute mark, he stormed out:
“I’m really done. I’m done,” Carroll said.
He later came back and responded why he stormed off and apologized to the media:

“I respect the heck out of everything you guys do,” Carroll said of the media on hand for his news conference, per Alyssa Charlston. “I know you’ve got stories to write. If I shortchange you on the stories, you know, you’ve got a job to do, too.”
After his return, Carroll opened up a bit more about his frustration.
“I have so many reasons (to believe the Seahawks can turn things around),” Carroll said, per Seahawks.com. “It’s the guys that we’re coaching. It’s the way we operate. It’s the attitude they’ve had on a regular basis. It’s the coaches’ work ethic to keep pushing and attacking the issues, everything about it. Because I don’t feel any different. I feel like we’re going to win next week, and we’re going to go play a great game on the East Coast and come on back here and get ready for the next one, and I don’t have any other thought in my mind.
“I’m just disappointed I have to keep coming back in here and talk about the same stuff, and don’t feel I have good answers for you because our answers so far have not turned it, and so that’s why I said, it starts with me. I’ve got to get this done. I’ve got to help my guys get it done.”
The Seahawks have been bad on both sides of the ball as the defense is allowing 401.8 yards per game, which is the second-most in the NFL behind only the Jets and is on pace to be the most in franchise history.
The team is averaging just 15.2 points per game in its last six games and just 12 points per game in the five losses. Everything is completely broken and continues to signal that the franchise and Russell Wilson will surely part ways in the offseason to give him a fresh start elsewhere while getting them the picks to start over.
