Just when you thought the Russell Wilson-Seattle Seahawks saga would start to simmer down, a bit of more news came out on Monday.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll reportedly has a “high opinion” of Sam Darnold and could very well end up trading for the New York QB if the Seahawks end up trading Russell Wilson, according to Daily News.
“Keep an eye on Seattle for Darnold,” the source said.
The report goes on to say that the “Chicago Bears are leading the charge in pursuit of Wilson.”
The Seahawks wanting to trade for Darnold is one thing, but if they plan on trying to switch QB’s and send Wilson to New York, it likely won’t happen since he has a no-trade clause built into his contract.
It has already been stated that if he was traded, he has the Bears, Saints, Raiders and Cowboys on his list of preferred destinations.
