Quincy Adeboyejo took losing his job to hilarious levels.
As the Patriots opened training camp, the franchise opted to part ways with the wide receiver. The 25-year-old signed with the New England practice squad last November. He was expected to compete for a roster spot this fall.
His injury history has stopped his career in its track, so the franchise elected to waive him with an injury designation on Saturday.
The now-former New England Patriots wide receiver tweeted about his release on Saturday.
“Got fired on my day off,” he wrote.

With his release, the Patriots now have 10 wide receivers at training camp, per MassLive.com.
Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, N’Keal Harry, Jakobi Meyers, Damiere Byrd, Gunner Olszewski, Devin Ross, Jeff Thomas, Will Hastings and Isaiah Zuber.
The Patriots open the 2020 NFL season on Sunday, Sept. 13 against Miami.
