DeAndre Hopkins is one of the most sought-after free agents currently. The Arizona Cardinals released the All-Pro wide receiver earlier this offseason but he has yet to sign with a new team.
It seemed like that ship had sailed with him signing with the Patriots after the team inked wide receiver DeVante Parker to a three-year contract extension worth up to $33 million. The deal includes $14 million in guaranteed money.
However, new reports suggest that the team will continue to pursue Hopkins.
There’s reportedly mutual interest between the New England Patriots and free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, according to ESPN’s NFL insider Jeremy Fowler. The highly-coveted free agent has been rumored to be a primary target for New England, which according to the latest report, could come to fruition in the near future.
New England also created a little extra salary cap space by restructuring the contracts of wide receiver Devante Parker and linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley.

The 31-year-old has already visited with the Patriots but left town without a contract.
Hopkins visited both the Tennessee Titans and the Patriots at the beginning of the month. Now, he seems to be in no rush to make a decision. The 31-year-old caught 64 passes for 717 yards and three touchdowns last season.
