It appears there might be trouble brewing in New England as Patriots left tackle Trent Brown was caught liking an Instagram post suggesting the Pats should move on from quarterback Mac Jones.
The young QB was drafted 15th overall in 2021 and, despite his struggles, has the markings of someone who could mature into a formidable threat. However, the Patriots are thought to be considering a reunion with Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Tom Brady, while San Francisco 49ers signal caller Jimmy Garoppolo is also rumored to be under consideration.
ESPN shared a quote from writer Bill Barnwell, via a graphic on their Instagram account, that suggests the Patriots should weigh their options given Jones’ form.
“The Patriots have to at least call Brady’s people to inquire whether he would like to return to New England to finish out his career,” the quote reads. “They could also pursue Garoppolo.”

Brady and Garoppolo have both played for the Pats in the past. Brady spent two decades there, with the latter playing as his backup from 2014 to 2017. Jimmy G had been the starting QB for the 49ers before he had his season ended by an injury.
