Things got testy between the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers before kickoff for their preseason game on Saturday.
As you can see in the clip below, tempers flared between the two clubs before their preseason Week 2 clash at Lambeau Field. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering that the two clubs had some tense moments during their joint practices this week:
The Patriots wound up winning the contest 21-17. The game was called off early after Patriots’ corner Isaiah Bolden had to be carted off in the fourth quarter following a collision with teammate Calvin Munson. The Patriots’ X account later reported that Bolden “had feeling in all extremities” and would be kept in hospital for observation.
QB Mac Jones completed six of nine pass attempts for 52 yards. Backup signal-caller Bailey Zappe finished the day with 10 completions for 117 yards and a touchdown.

Fans hoping to see a quick rematch are out of luck. The Patriots and Packers met at Lambeau Field last season (a 27-24 Green Bay win in overtime), and they won’t meet again unless both clubs reach Super Bowl 58 next February.
Otherwise, the two clubs will only meet in the 2024 season if they finish in the same spot in their respective divisions, as per the NFL’s “17th game” format.
Green Bay will open their 2023 regular season with a road showdown against the archrival Chicago Bears on Sept. 10. That same day, the Patriots will welcome the reigning NFC East Champions in the Philadelphia Eagles.
