During the NFL Network pregame show, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft dropped a bombshell when he stated that Rob Gronowski had yet to actually file retirement paperwork.
On Thursday night before the New York Patriots were set to kick off against the New York Giants — Kraft basically opened the door for Rob Gronkowski’s potential return.
“We all love Gronk and I think the bottom line is, he hasn’t put his retirement papers in. We can always pray and hope …. That’s a good academic argument that there is hope for us still with Gronk,” Kraft said on Thursday night.
The Patriots have been just fine so far without Gronk, jumping out to a 5-0 record, however, the team is severely lacking in the tight end position and Brady would surely love his favorite target back.
