We’ve seen countless fights break out in the stands at NFL games over the years. Another probably should’ve take place on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium during a game between the Patriots and Raiders, had it not been for the composure of one well-mannered Pats fan.
During what turned out to be one of the craziest games in recent memory, Pats fan Jerry Edmond, who was in attendance to watch his first ever NFL game, was accosted by a female Raiders fan after her team had just pulled off one of the most unlikeliest victories you’ll ever see.
In the video below, you’ll see the lady screaming in Jerry’s face as he looks on in disbelief. The woman then hugs her husband in front of Jerry, before going back into Jerry’s face to spew some more verbal diarrhea.
Twitter user @BabzOnTheMic—who refers to himself in his bio as the “Leader of Patriots Nation”—made it his mission to track down Jerry as soon as he saw the clip. And it didn’t take him long to find his man.
Shortly after the incident, Babz hopped on an Instagram Live with Jerry to discuss what transpired. According to Jerry, he was going back and forth with several Raiders fans in a friendly manner, but it was the woman in the video and her husband who apparently couldn’t take the jokes and got offended by the trash-talking.

Jerry also took to Twitter to thank everyone for the support he’s received over the last few days.
Hats off to Jerry for being mature, which is probably the last word you’d use to describe the Raiders couple in the video. It’s amazing how heated people can get over a football game that they’re not even playing in.
Fandom aside, people need to learn how to not get so wrapped up in their favorite sports team. Whether your team wins or loses, does it really change your life? Is it really worth it to be that invested in a team—to the point where you’d accost an opposing team’s fan and embarrass yourself in the process, just because he had a few good chirps about your mediocre quarterback?
After seeing the entire altercation transpire, social media couldn’t help but applaud Jerry for his actions (or lack thereof), while others took shots at the P.O.S. Raiders fan.
