Police are investigating the death of a New England man who attended Sunday night’s Patriots game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office identified the individual as 53-year-old Dale Mooney, a New Hampshire native.
Massachusetts State Police indicate that Mooney suffered from an “apparent medical event” during the fourth quarter of the game.
Original reports stated a Patriots fan suffered a heart attack in the stands a firefighter came in and administered CPR to save his life. It appears his alleged heart attack was the result of a brutal fight.
New footage shows a Miami Dolphins fan was assaulting Patriots fan Dale Moony before his medical incident. He would be transported to the hospital where he later passed away.
A witness to the event stated the victim was struck by a “vicious” punch which left him unresponsive for four to five minutes before medical help arrived and began compressions, per the report.
Lisa Mooney, his wife, stated she was told that her husband was being taunted by several Dolphins fans during the game, leading up to an alleged physical altercation in the 300s section of the stadium. She believes footage captured at Gillette will prove that her husband did not throw a single punch.

Lisa told Boston 25 that, “According to stadium footage, Dale never threw a punch.”
“Numb. I just feel numb,” his wife, Lisa Mooney, said. “I just can’t even believe this is for real.”
Dale was the father of two adult sons. Lisa Mooney said Dale was a season ticket holder for 30 years.
So far, there has been no word on if the fan or fans have been caught that participated in this fight or who was responsible.
