You can never expect Bill Belichick to give an answer out of typical go-to responses, and that is exactly what he did this week.
Speaking to the media Wednesday, Belichick was asked about the Jets’ scheme under second-year head coach Robert Saleh, and the way he responded shouldn’t shock anybody.
“The Jets are the Jets,” Belichick said. “They have their way of doing things… right now the Jets are the Jets.”
New England has a 15-7 regular-season record coming out of the bye under the legendary head coach. The Patriots will try to improve upon that record Sunday when it returns to Gillette Stadium to host the New York Jets.
These aren’t your typical Jets from years prior. This team is good and continues to prove it every week.
However, the Patriots opened as 4-point favorites for Sunday’s game at Foxboro. Jets quarterback Zach Wilson has given no real indication he’s able to go on the road and beat a Belichick-led team.

The Patriots secured a 22-17 victory over the New York Jets on Oct. 30. Wilson was largely blamed as the primary culprit for the New York Jets’ 22-17 loss to the New England Patriots. The second-year passer launched a trio of interceptions that cost the Jets a victory.
It should be noted that he also threw for 355 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Mac Jones was 24-of-35 passing for 194 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. This game will be decided by whomever doesn’t turn the ball over.
