The Pittsburgh Steelers are keen on getting back into the postseason, and they’ve signed a big-name veteran who they believe can help them get there.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers have agreed to a deal with former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson.
The fifth-overall pick from 2011 will be 33 when the 2023 season begins. The superstar veteran had a big bounceback season last year, recording 5 interceptions while allowing just 59.6 percent of the passes in his direction to be completed.
Opposing quarterbacks had a passer rating of just 79.6 when targeting Peterson in 2022.
Earlier in the day, the Steelers lost cornerback Cam Sutton to the Lions. Apparently they didn’t feel like waiting long to find his replacement.
