The Kansas City Chiefs visited the White House this Monday due to their winning Super Bowl 57 this year, providing the biggest stage for Travis Kelce to embarrass everyone.
The tight end is known to go off the rails and does so very often – though, to his credit, he doesn’t get himself into any trouble with the team or fall afoul of the law. He’s really just a huge goofball.
Patrick Mahomes knows this all too well, which is why he sensed his teammate was up to no good after they presented President Joe Biden with a No. 46 Chiefs jersey.
With the POTUS distracted by the bright red item, Kelce snuck off to the podium and was probably getting set to say something really dumb. Thankfully, Mahomes was quick enough to yank him off in time, apologizing to everyone on his colleague’s behalf.
You could see the hilarious interaction in the video below:
Trust Travis to be the one who tries stealing the President’s spot while he’s distracted. Thankfully, he’s got a responsible teammate in Patrick Mahomes.

Biden didn’t mind too much, though, and was probably just as star-struck to be among some of the best football players in the world.
While this will go down as one of the funniest moments to ever spring from a White House visit, something tells us it would have been funnier had Mahomes not stepped in.
