Patrick Mahomes‘ heroic performance against the Bills was thrilling to watch, and his heart rate proved that he was just like all of us watching in amazement.
Mahomes wore a Whoop fitness tracker during the game, and the collected data was shared by Mahomes’ trainer, Bobby Stroupe.
He had an average heart rate of 146 bpm though regulation, but as soon as the game went into extra time, it shot up to 160.
What’s even crazy is that his heart rate was actually lowest when the pressure was highest. So basially, besides being extremely talented, Mahomes greatest assets may be the ability to stay calm under pressure.
The Chiefs are hosting their fourth-straight AFC Championship Game this Sunday and can advance to Super Bowl LVI with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
