Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes has revealed he will be sporting a different look next season.
The quarterback’s hairstyle is just as popular as his game. However, he’s teased he’s set to do away with the faded mohawk, having worn one from his days playing for Texas Tech. Speaking during the third episode of Netflix’s Quarterback, the reigning NFL MVP indicated he’s going to do away with the hair.
He expresses a bit of frustration while taking his headband off and getting Velcro stuck in his hair after a session with his personal trainer Bobby Stroupe.
“This is my last year with the hair,” he says.
“No, what are you talking about?” a surprised Stroupe asks.
“Hair’s gone next year,” Mahomes replies. “Going with different hair next year.”
“What, are you shaving it?” Stroupe inquires.
“I don’t know yet. I’m doing something different,” the quarterback offered.
Mahomes also noted he considered making changes last season but it would have made ‘Head & Shoulders’ upset as he has an endorsement deal with the brand.
The QB further explains that he doesn’t want to be a dad to two kids while sporting a mohawk, adding he doesn’t want to get dreadlocks but is open to twisting his hair.

“Imagine me 40 years old with this haircut. I mean, come on,” he says to conclude the segment.
