Patrick Mahomes Returns To Practice Less Than A Week After Dislocating Kneecap

Patrick Mahomes is fighting the Madden curse as best he can.

During the team’s matchup against the Denver Broncos last week, the superstar QB tried a quarterback sneak near the goal line, but did not get back on his feet as he winced in pain.

His kneecap was said to be dislocated, but medical personnel snapped it back it in place, so he was able to walk off the field under his own power.

Less than a week later, head coach Andy Reid told reporters that Mahomes would be throwing the ball on Wednesday. He also wouldn’t rule him out from playing on Sunday.

Andy Reid told reporters in KC that Patrick Mahomes will throw the ball today at practice and they’ll see if he can maybe get through the individual period.

#Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Patrick Mahomes will practice today, but Matt Moore will make the “majority” of the team reps.

But when asked, Reid once again didn’t rule out Mahomes for Sunday.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid did note that veteran backup Matt Moore will get first-team reps in practice as the team prepares for this week’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
