Patrick Mahomes is having a really good 2020, all things considered.
The Kansas City Chiefs QB won Super Bowl LIV and was named Super Bowl MVP in only his second season as a starter. Then he signed a massive long-term contract extension with the Chiefs. Just earlier this week, the 24-year-old became the youngest sports owner in history, joining the Kansas City Royals’ ownership group.
On Wednesday, Mahomes’ peers voted him into the No. 4 spot in NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2020 list. Last year, in a season where Mahomes won league MVP, he also was voted to the No. 4 spot.
After it was announced, Mahomes took to Twitter and made sure people knew that he was taking notes of the disrespect sent his way:
In 2019, Mahomes started 14 games for the Chiefs completing 66% of his passes for 4,031 yards, 26 touchdowns and just five interceptions. During the postseason he’d complete 72 passes for 901 yards and 10 touchdowns with just two interceptions..
