Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes reacted to a viral mic’d up clip that caught him ripping the refs to Buffalo Bills signal-caller Josh Allen following Sunday’s game.
Mahomes received criticism for complaining about the officiating to Allen when he embraced the Bills’ QB after Buffalo’s 20-17 win. The usually calm Mahomes dropped multiple expletives when he briefly met with Allen (WARNING: VIDEO CONTAINS LANGUAGE THAT CONTAINS NSFW):
While speaking to Carrington Harrison of 610 Sport Radio in Kansas City, Mahomes expressed remorse over his rant about the officiating to Allen, via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team:
“I regret the way I acted towards Josh (Allen) after the game. Because he had nothing to do with it. I was still hot and emotional, but you can’t do that. It’s not a great example for kids watching the game.”

The Chiefs-Bills game was highlighted by a controversial call on KC wide receiver Kadarius Toney. His go-ahead touchdown with 1:12 remaining was called back because of an offside call against the third-year wideout. Kansas City wound up turning the ball over on downs and fell to 8-5 on the season, while Buffalo improved to 7-6.
Mahomes was absolutely livid after the loss, screaming at the refs and even needing to be held back by teammates.
The defending Super Bowl champions have never lost more than five games in a season with Mahomes as their starting QB (they went 12-5 two years ago). But the Chiefs, losers of two straight, are in danger of surpassing that five-loss total.
Not only that, but there’s a real good chance that they’ll also have to play a road playoff game in the Mahomes era for the very first time.
