Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had an awesome reaction to Shohei Ohtani’s record-setting deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
On Saturday afternoon, the two-way superstar signed a 10-year contract worth $700 million, easily marking the richest contract in the history of professional sports. Previously, soccer legend Lionel Messi held the record for the richest sports contract ever ($674 million).
Mahomes, who holds the record for the richest NFL contract at $450 million, had this to say on Ohtani’s new deal.
Ohtani’s former teammate, Mike Trout, previously had the richest contract agreement in MLB history at $426.5 million over 12 years. Trout signed the deal in 2019.
