Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs and reigning Super Bowl MVP, became a member of the new ownership group of the Kansas City Royals.
The Royals announced Mahomes’ partial ownership Tuesday, noting that he “spent a lot of time in clubhouses as a kid.”
“We are very proud and excited to have Patrick as our partner in the ownership group of this franchise,” John Sherman, the Royals’ chairman, CEO and principal owner, said in a statement. “Along with the rest of Kansas City, I have watched Patrick compete and become an extraordinary leader, both on and off the football field.”
Hours after the news broke, it appears the Super Bowl MVP went out and rewarded himself by purchasing a Ferrari F12.
