The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in a statement issued on Monday condemned the actions of best actor winner Will Smith after he stormed on stage and slapped presenter Chris Rock in the face during Sunday’s Oscars ceremony.
“The Academy condemns the actions of Mr. Smith at last night’s show,” the statement said. “We have officially started a formal review around the incident and will explore further action and consequences in accordance with our Bylaws, Standards of Conduct and California law.”
Anybody who is anybody has had an opinion on his behavior as well as the joke Chris Rock told that set him off. That includes several members of the Mahomes’ family.
After Brittany Mahomes’ said what she said above, Patrick Mahomes‘ mom, Randi, took to her Instagram story and blasted Will Smith for her actions. She stated how she not only lost respect for Smith, but demanded his Oscar be taken away.
“I have no respect for this guy anymore. At the Oscar’s really?? #takehisoscaraway”
