For the majority of the 21st century, it’s been nearly impossible to repeat as Super Bowl champions. The only team that seemingly looks like a lock to do it since the New England Patriots are none other than the Kansas City Chiefs.
With the start of the 2023 season looming near, Chiefs fans are already excited about their team and it has to do with what they are seeing at practice.
The NFL’s Twitter account shared a highlight of Justyn Ross’ potential after he caught a deep pass from Patrick Mahomes and trotted to the end zone.

Ross has had plenty of hype since last year’s camp before shutting down due to injury.
“So, the big one (Justyn Ross) is coming along,” said Reid. “He feels good, his foot feels good (and) the surgery that he had worked out well up to this point. He’s made some nice plays for us out here. I know Pat’s (Mahomes) got trust in him, so that’s good to see.
Mahomes continues showing a willingness and excitement over his current roster of receivers even with a talent like DeAndre Hopkins out on the free agent market.
The obvious next step for Ross would be to show that he’s capable of making those nice plays in-game action as well, so staying healthy for the preseason will be an essential step for him.
Ross is highly regarded for his size, speed, and playmaking ability, making him a potential star for the Chiefs. If this happens, it would be hell for opposing defenses who already have to account for Travis Kelce.
