Patrick Mahomes is an absolute gun-slinger. He can flat out let a ball fly in whatever position his body is in as he showed off during their 2018 season.
He never got his chance to show off what he could do in Mexico in 2018 after poor field conditions forced the game to be moved. This year, the Chiefs will try it again, against the Chargers.
If that game does indeed happen, Mahomes just might try something that not many quarterbacks could even think about doing.
While talking with Pardon My Take, the Kansas City Chiefs QB stated he he can throw a football 100 yards in Mexico City, because of the the extreme elevation.
Mexico City sits 7,200 feet above sea level.
“I got to like 80, 83 in Denver,” Mahomes said. “So I can handle the extra 20 [in Mexico City].”
It is highly improbably he would ever get that chance during an actual game because no receiver would get free long enough for it to happen, and even the best offensive line could block that long. Wishful thinking.
