Patrick Mahomes is taking up for his soon to be wife.
On Wednesday night, the Kansas City Chiefs star QB was seated courtside with Brittany Matthews when cameras caught a conversation that brought out every single lip reader. Many folks think Mahomes was annoyed and Matthews told somebody near her that Patrick didn’t want to have a ‘resting bitch face.’
After the video went viral, Mahomes took to Twitter and showed support for his lady.
Mahomes is likely still reeling from the fact that the Chiefs blew a 21-3 lead in the AFC Championship game against the Bengals where he completed 26 of 39 passes for 275 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. The team could only manage 3 points in the second half and it led to a 27-24 overtime loss.

He had an opportunity to build on a 21-10 lead from Cincinnati’s one-yard line just before halftime but made an ill-advised throw to Tyreek Hill short of the end zone, running out the clock. Not going for that field goal hurt them badly in the end.
Even with the loss, the Chiefs are easily one of the favorites for next season to head to the Super Bowl.
