Patrick Mahomes has finally broken his silence on the controversy surrounding his younger brother, Jackson Mahomes.
The latter has been arrested and charged following allegations stemming from February, with female restaurant owner Aspen Vaughn accusing him of forcing himself on her.
Patrick had remained silent on the matter since the reports surfaced, at least in public. But he sort of addressed it while speaking at the Chiefs’ OTAs on Wednesday.
“Honestly, it’s kind of a personal thing that I just kind of gotta keep to myself,” the quarterback said after being quizzed by reporters, per Fox4 KC.
“At the end of the day, I come here to play football and try to take care of my family at the same time. So just kind of keep it to myself and just go out there and play football when I’m in the building.”
Jackson Mahomes Has Been Hit With Four Charges
Jackson, 23, has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of misdemeanor battery. Surveillance footage showed the TikTok star grabbing and kissing a female in what appears to be a back office in February.
He also stands accused of shoving a member of staff at the same restaurant in a separate incident.

Vaughn claims Jackson “forcibly kiss[ed] me out of nowhere.”
A police affidavit notes the 23-year-old “grabbed [Aspen Vaughn] by the throat, forcing her head back and kissed her and put his tongue in her mouth” on three occasions without her consent.
Jackson is also understood to have asked Aspen what he could do to help her business in exchange for her silence. He is due to attend a preliminary hearing on August 31.
