Patrick Mahomes’ college GPA has become a topic of conversation again ahead of Super Bowl 59.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is obviously a stud on the football field, and he was just as excellent in the classroom.
Mahomes showed signs of greatness at Texas Tech, registering a pass completion percentage of 63.5 percent, throwing for 4,653 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions in his first full season as a starter. He improved to 5,052 yards and 41 touchdowns the following term.
NFL scouts were impressed with the Texas native, and so were his professors. According to Tyler Today, the QB boasted a GPA of 3.91 at the university.
“I admit I am a proud mom,” his mother, Randi Mahomes, was quoted as saying. “I am very proud of his athletic achievements. However, I am more proud of his scholastic achievements.”
