Kansas City Chiefs’ fans everywhere were holding their breath today during the team’s Super Bowl Championship parade, as their franchise quarterback narrowly escaped a frightening accident.
As the team made their way through the streets on several busses, Mahomes was seen atop one of them when he nearly fell over the side while chugging a beer for the crowd. Thankfully, someone was close by to make sure he didn’t tip over the edge and he was able to finish downing his beer without incident.
Needless to say, this could have ended a lot worse:
Mahomes has proven that he can play injured, as he battled through a brutal ankle injury to lead the Chiefs to a 38-35 win in Super Bowl LVII. However, I wouldn’t count on him coming back from a fall off a double-decker bus. The Chiefs’ quarterback may be super-human, but he’s not completely invincible.
