Drops were a problem for the Chiefs the entire game and even after the contest was over.
The Kansas City Chiefs found themselves in an unfamiliar spot on Monday night as they were down to the Eagles at home and in need of a touchdown. Patrick Mahomes took the snap, cocked back, and fired a home run pass to a wide-open Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
It was a touchdown for half a second before the ball came loose and rolled into the back of the end zone.
On the next play, Mahomes was flagged for intentional grounding and then his next pass to Justin Watson for a first down was dropped.
That was the theme of the night, as the Chiefs lost the game, 21-17.
After the game, a Chiefs fan got the chance to catch a pass when Mahomes threw his towel, but that was also dropped.

With the Chiefs’ wideout struggling to catch as well, everyone seemed to make the same joke after seeing this mishap:
A lot of mistakes could be blamed on the weather as it was rainy and windy all night long.
Mahomes completed 24 of 43 passes for 177 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed six times for 38 yards.
The Chiefs fell to 7-3 with the loss, taking them out of the top spot in the AFC. The Baltimore Ravens now hold the No. 1 seed in the conference.
