Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes caused a bit of a stir on social media after he shared his feelings about tomatoes.
It all began when San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle asked his Twitter followers about tomatoes being a fruit.
“If tomatoes are a fruit, is ketchup a smoothie?” he tweeted, before tagging the former NFL MVP, citing his “expertise.”
Mahomes answered the request, but made a major statement about tomatoes.
“As a ketchup enthusiast.. tomatoes are garbage,” Mahomes tweeted.

Aside from his bad food takes, Mahomes is hoping to have another deep playoff run to get his Chiefs back to the Super Bowl after the team squandered away a huge lead to the Bengals in the AFC Championship game.
He finished the season with 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions off 4,839 passing yards.
