Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes got a workout he did not intend on doing while at practice on Thursday.
Mahomes, several other quarterbacks, and members of the offensive coaching staff had to deal with unwelcomed guests during Thursday’s training camp practice.
KSHB-TV sports anchor Aaron Ladd captured a video of a bee chasing after Patrick Mahomes and pestering the other quarterbacks.
“With the bee-fence closing in, Mahomes escapes the pocket.”
Mahomes had his own response on Twitter.
“I don’t mess with bees,” Mahomes wrote on Twitter.

It should be noted that Mahomes maintained his composure while holding on to possession of the football as he danced around the swarm, just as he does when he’s facing 200+pound men running after him during the NFL season.
Patrick Mahomes was named the 2022 NFL MVP at Thursday’s NFL Honors after pacing the league with 5,250 passing yards and 41 touchdowns in the regular season, the only quarterback to eclipse 5,000 passing yards and 40 touchdowns last year.
With Mahomes under center, the Chiefs led the NFL in total offense, passing, and scoring during the regular season. The Chiefs won their seventh straight AFC West championship, tying for the second-longest streak in NFL history, and earned the No. 1 playoff seed in the AFC playoffs. They would go through the playoffs to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will kick off the 2023 season at home against the Lions.
