Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are being made to face certain consequences following their criticism of the officials at the end of their loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and head coach were both upset at the referees over the offside call against wide receiver Kadarius Toney that erased a go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter and had a bit to say in their postgame interviews, with Mahomes also swearing at the refs on the field.
According to ProFootballTalk, the league has fined both of them, though the amount is unknown.
Both Mahomes and Reid have since softened their stances, expressing some regret over their behavior. But the NFL has decided to impose fines following reports claiming that the comments would be reviewed.
