On Friday, Brady and his now ex-wife Gisele Bündchen announced they got a divorce after months of speculation and rumors of discourse between them.
Brady released a statement through his Instagram Friday morning.
“In Recent days my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at the decision amicably with great gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.
We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration.
Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world. However, we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written.
And we kindly as for privacy and respect as we navigate what is to come in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you”
Gisele would do the same soon after.
On Friday’s Pat McAfee Show, the retired punter would address Brady and Bündchen’s divorce as he stated that the legendary QB’s play should not be judged by the fans or media this season because of everything that had happened to Brady off the field.
“He’s got a lot of shit going on. I got nothing but respect and appreciation for what Tom Brady has done for the NFL and for the game. But I don’t think we can judge this Tom Brady off of previous Tom Brady’s because this Tom Brady is going through some shit that we ain’t never seen Tom Brady go through before and he’s fucking 45 years old,” McAfee said on the Friday, October 28 episode of his radio show.
“It sucks that we even have to talk about it, but it has to creep in — if you’re a human — into your workspace. And we just thought that Tom Brady is a robot. He’s a robot, he’s an alien, he’s a machine, he’s a winner. He’s Thomas Edward Patrick Brady III, or whatever the fuck it is. And he was a guy that we don’t understand or have any comprehension of. And now, it’s like maybe the most relatable thing of all time: he’s 45 years old, his arm seems to be struggling, and it seems like off-the-field he doesn’t have a perfect existence. It might be baby face for Tom Brady but it doesn’t help them on the field.”

Brady‘s season so far has not been spectacular as his number are a mere shadow of what he achieved last season. It’s clear that his off-the-field issues have been affecting him. Just because his marriage is officially over doesn’t mean he’ll return to form right away.
Now that he is free from his marriage, if he does hang it up after this season, Brady just might head into broadcasting as he and Fox Sports agreed to a deal that will make the seven-time Super Bowl champion the network’s lead NFL analyst following his retirement.
The quarterback’s new contract with the network will reportedly be the most lucrative in sports television in history.
According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Brady agreed to a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox, earning him an average of $37.5 million annually.
