Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee was as shocked as many were when Andrew Luck announced his retirement from the NFL just before the 2019 season.
The team didn’t seem to miss a beat as they got out to a 5-2 start, but the good times would end as they would win just two games for the remainder of the season and end at 7-9 and 3rd in the AFC South.
Luck has stayed out of the spotlight entirely since his announcement, but that hasn’t stopped speculation of his possible return.
Instead of coming back to the Colts, there have been rumors that Luck might be asked to go elsewhere. That scenario was presented to his former teammate Pat McAfee who thought about it for a minute, but ultimately stated he thinks Luck is truly done with football.
Back in August, McAfee took to social media and had some NSFW reactions to the breaking news that shocked the nation and took over every online platform.
In his video on Instagram, McAfee said, “Hey, you’re a hell of a football player Andrew, you’re incredibly tough dude too. We in the locker room got to see you battle through some real [stuff] those years you were injured.”
