Pat McAfee has addressed the news of his impending move to ESPN, sending a message to his fans to assure them of certain things.
McAfee is set to back out of a $120 million deal with FanDuel to move his podcast, The Pat McAfee Show, to The Worldwide Leader In Sports. And he seems pretty excited about it.
Of course, he would be. His voice and his takes are set to reach a lot more people while his regular viewers will still be able to watch via YouTube. The former NFL kicker has also assured fans that he’s not going to be changing anything.
There were worries that the 36-year-old might tone down some of the coarse language he’s known to spew. However, speaking during the show this Wednesday, he pointed out that ESPN knew what he was about before they decided to get into bed and he would never agree to a move that would mean he would have to change his style.
“We’re very comfortable being us and we would never agree to something that would change that #PMSLive,” he wrote as the caption to a clip in which he basically confirmed that he’s still going to be using swear words.
