Pat McAfee has revealed that some of the NFL quarterbacks who have come out and said they turned Netflix down after being approached to star in the ‘Quarterback’ series are not being truthful.
The show has been approved for a second season after a very successful debut. The first iteration, featuring Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota, garnered the most views on the platform for several days. And there is excitement over who will feature next.
However, several QBs have revealed having rejected Netflix’s advances. Among them are Justin Fields, Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, Tua Tagovailoa, Matthew Stafford, and Sam Howell.
According to McAfee, some of these guys are lying.
“People just started saying this person is on the show, this person is on the show, this person’s on the show, then quarterbacks are coming out and saying, ‘I will not be on Quarterback.’ We are getting word that some of the quarterbacks that came out and said openly kind of against Quarterback were not offered potential spots on Quarterback,” the former NFL kicker said on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ this week.
McAfee also noted that the rumors pertaining to who will be on the show have zero legitimacy as Netflix doesn’t want anyone to know who’s going to star.

“Now that being said, we are also told that nobody will know who is on Quarterback, by design,” he continued. “So any of the announcements of this person being on the show are not real. They will not be legitimized until long, long, long time from now.”
So it appears we won’t know who the next trio of QBs will be until the streaming giants confirm them. It might be a wait…
